Trip Itinerary
Day 1:
Thursday, September 25th
Arrive in Munich Airport in the morning and meet the group at the hotel by noon. Ground transportation on your own. Train $10-$15. Taxi $95-$120.
Explore the City Center:
● Marienplatz: Start your day at Munich’s central square. See the New Town Hall (Neues Rathaus) and the Glockenspiel.
● Frauenkirche: Visit the iconic twin-towered church nearby.
Bavarian Welcome Dinner: Join us for a hearty Bavarian meal at a traditional restaurant or local beer garden. You will enjoy the Hofbräuhaus experience. Get to know your fellow travelers during the pre-Oktoberfest toast at München’s legendary Hofbräuhaus!
Day 2:
Friday, September 26th
Did you get a good sleep? Rise and shine! Daily breakfasts are included. Full hearty meal to start you day right!
Morning: Deutsches Museum. Spend the morning at the world’s largest museum of science and technology. This museum is right in front of our hotel!
Midday: Maximilianstraße. Stroll along this upscale shopping street and grab lunch at a nearby café.
Midday: Alte Pinakothek. Visit this art museum, home to an impressive collection of European masterpieces. Fascinating and very educational!
Day 3:
Saturday, September 27th
Join us for the International Deaf Day at the Beer Tent and meet Deaf folks from Europe.
Theresienwiese is best known as the site of Munich’s world-famous Oktoberfest. This vast open space hosts a variety of activities and events throughout the year, but Oktoberfest is undoubtedly the highlight.
Oktoberfest Activities at Theresienwiese
1. Beer Tents:
● Enjoy a wide selection of traditional Bavarian beers in large, festive beer tents, each offering a unique atmosphere and entertainment.
2. Traditional Bavarian Food:
● Savor delicious Bavarian cuisine, including pretzels, sausages, roast chicken, and pork knuckles.
3. Carnival Rides and Games:
● Experience the fun of carnival rides, from classic carousels to thrilling roller coasters, and try your luck at various game stalls.
4. Parades:
● Watch the colorful opening parade featuring traditional costumes, horse-drawn beer wagons, and music bands.
5. Live Music:
● Enjoy live traditional Bavarian music, including folk songs, polkas, and marches, performed by bands in the beer tents.
6. Souvenir Stalls:
● Browse through stalls selling traditional Bavarian crafts, clothing, and souvenirs to take home a piece of Oktoberfest.
Day 4:
Sunday, September 28th
Explore the City with Hop On and Hop Off Bus. It does exactly what the name says… You hop on the bus, it stops at a landmark, you hop off of the bus, look around, hop back on the bus. Rinse and repeat!

Day 5:
Monday, September 29th
Buffet Breakfast: Enjoy a complimentary breakfast in your hotel.
Neuschwanstein Castle Trip: Witness the fairy tale castles of Neuschwanstein and Linderhof, created by Germany’s 19th-century King Ludwig II, on a day trip from Munich. Traveling by air-conditioned coach with a Deaf Guide/ASL Interpreter. Join an interior tour and then continue to Neuschwanstein, a famous European castle that inspired Disney’s Sleeping Beauty castle. Enjoy free time in nearby Hohenschwangau village for lunch and to explore Neuschwanstein’s grounds, and take the castle tour.
Free Evening at Oktoberfest: Go explore the festival grounds! From the carnival rides to the amazing food, you’ll find plenty to keep you entertained.
Day 6:
Tuesday, September 30th
Buffet Breakfast: Enjoy a complimentary breakfast in your hotel.
Romantic Road Day Trip: Admire the countryside, castles and villages of Germany’s Romantic Road on a day trip from Munich! Enjoy a coach drive along the iconic Road, a famously picturesque route through Bavaria’s mountains and forests. Stop at 11th-century Harburg Castle, one of Germany’s oldest fortifications, and continue to Rothenburg, a beautifully preserved medieval town of cobbled lanes, squares, and half-timbered houses. See top attractions such as the Renaissance-era Town Hall and St. Jakob’s Church, enjoy free time to wander, have lunch (your own expense), and browse the famous year-round Christmas shop.
Day 7:
Wednesday, October 1st
Buffet Breakfast: Enjoy a complimentary breakfast in your hotel.
Then go Salzburg sightseeing by High Speed Rail from Munich. Explore the historic birthplace of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart—on a day trip from Munich. View the famous movie set used for the Sound of Music. Relax on the comfortable train ride to Salzburg, take a guided tour of city attractions like Domkirche Cathedral and the Festung Hohensalzburg fortress, then enjoy hours of independent time to explore. Soak up Austrian history, sample local delicacies, and snap photos of the city set against the striking backdrop of the Alps.
Day 8:
Thursday, October 2nd
Bavarian History and More!
● Nymphenburg Palace: Start your day at this beautiful baroque palace with its extensive gardens.
● BMW Museum: Explore the history of BMW and see a range of iconic cars and motorcycles.
And…
● Olympic Park: Visit the site of the 1972 Olympics, take a walk, or go up the Olympic Tower for a panoramic view! Make sure you don’t accidentally leave your smartphone or camera at the hotel!
Day 9:
Friday, October 3rd
Time to go home!
Buffet Breakfast: Enjoy a complimentary breakfast in your hotel. Breakfast opens at 7 a.m.
Return to airport on your own.
